Ghazaleh
must not be sent back to Iran.
Denmark has refused Ghazaleh protection and told her she must leave for Iran by 21 October 2026. In 2025 Iran executed more women than in any year for over two decades, and the UN has found that women held by its security forces have been raped and tortured.

In January, Denmark stopped sending people back to Iran. In August, it started again.
In January 2026, as Iran's security forces crushed nationwide protests, Danish authorities paused asylum decisions for Iranians and postponed their deadlines to leave, citing the situation in Iran.
In August, the Refugee Appeals Board lifted that pause for about 108 people who had already been refused, even though executions in Iran were continuing. Ghazaleh is now facing removal.
We are asking Denmark to restore the pause, and not to send Ghazaleh back.
